# dtmfSent

> The dtmfSent event fires when the SDK passes DTMF tones to the SIP library during a call.

Emitted when the SDK passes DTMF tones to the SIP library during a call via [`sendDTMF()`](/click-to-call/sdk/api-reference/send-dtmf). The SDK might queue later tones, so the event doesn't confirm that the tones were played or that the remote party received them. If `sendDTMF()` fails, the event isn't emitted.

This event is available since SDK version 0.2.0.

## Callback Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |

| `tones` | `string` | The tones that the SDK sent. If you passed a number to `sendDTMF()`, the value is the number converted to a string. |

## Example

```typescript theme={null}
client.on('dtmfSent', (tones) => {
  console.log('DTMF tones sent:', tones);
});
```
