TRANSFER_REFER_ERROR - Cognigy Documentation

Updated in 2026.11 This event indicates that a call transfer attempt using the Refer method resulted in an error or failure. The Refer method involves passing the responsibility for handling the call to another destination while maintaining the media path. However, in this case, the transfer failed due to the destination being unavailable or rejecting the transfer request. This event is triggered when refer_status is 202 and final_referred_call_status is any value other than 200, including 410 Gone. When this event fires, any configured failover or error hook runs automatically. Payload:
