This Node reference provides details about the Nodes’ parameters to help you configure your Flow.

Node Categories

Basic

Use Basic Nodes for basic conversational Flows, for example, the Say Node and the Question Node.

Logic

Use Logic Nodes to control the Flow execution, for example, the If Node and the Lookup Node.

Voice

Voice Nodes are for developing voice AI Agents.

Analytics

Nodes for tracking and analyzing conversation data and taking advantage of Cognigy AI’s comprehensive marketing functionality.

Service

Use Service Nodes to trigger external services, like databases and email servers. Additional services can be added through Extensions.

AI

AI Nodes are a collection of Nodes for Cognigy.AI NLU and Agentic AI.

Data

Data Nodes are designed to manage, manipulate, process, or store data.

Agent Copilot

Nodes for creating the Agent Copilot workspace.

xApps

Nodes for creating xApps.

Other

Additional specialized Nodes.
If you want to create a custom Node, go to the Extensions section.
Nodes can belong to multiple categories for easier search and navigation. In the following sections, each Node is assigned to a single category to avoid duplicated descriptions.

Common Sections to All Node Types

Settings

All Node types include the Settings section, which contains the following parameters:
ParameterDescription
LabelThe name of the Node that is displayed in the Flow editor. This is useful to distinguish between Nodes of the same type.
CommentA comment that is displayed in the Flow editor. This is useful to add additional information about the Node.
Analytics StepAn analytic step to track which paths users take in the Flow.
