Data Pre-Aggregation¶
New Insights framework
We are introducing a new architecture framework for Cognigy Insights, which significantly enhances the application's data processing capacity. This upgraded framework not only improves overall performance but also minimizes loading times for dashboard data. To use this framework, migration is required.
The migration to the new framework is not linked to a specific release. We start with a few dedicated SaaS customers, inform them, and provide assistance for migration. For on-premises customers, the migration guide will be provided soon.
Afterward, we migrate the remaining shared SaaS and dedicated SaaS customers.
Data pre-aggregation is a specific type of data aggregation that optimizes query performance and reduces computational resources by aggregating data before it's stored.
After migrating to the new framework, Insights uses pre-aggregation, which means that it generates pre-aggregated tables based on raw data. This approach enables instant visualization of charts on dashboards, even when applying filters. Updating pre-aggregated tables takes some time, so despite the fact that data on dashboards is always displayed, data refreshing may take some time depending on the source data. An estimated data refresh time will be indicated on your dashboard in the Insights UI.
